Zeev Farbman (Hebrew: זאב פרבמן; born September 9, 1979 in Zaporizhia, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union) is an Israeli businessman and entrepreneur. He is the CEO and co-founder of the software development company Lightricks (lightricks.com). He is associated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Early life and education
Zeev Farbman was born in Zaporizhia on September 9, 1979.[1] He grew up in Yukutia, Russia, before immigrating to Netanya, Israel when he was 13 years old.[1,2] He graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a PhD in computer science under the guidance of Prof. Dani Leshinski and Prof. Raanan Fattal.[3]
Lightricks
As a software development company based in Jerusalem, Lightricks has been noted in media reports as a startup originating outside Tel Aviv.[4] Pictures of a sleeping Farbman went viral after being turned into memes.[5,6]
Personal life
In his spare time, Farbman practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.[2]
